Associate Director, US Oncology National Account Executive

Travel: Approximately 50% overnight travel within the assigned geography

Position Overview

The Associate Director, US Oncology National Account Executive (ONC NAE) is responsible for leading strategic account management and market access initiatives across major oncology customers in Minnesota, Michigan, and Wisconsin. This role drives optimal product access, appropriate utilization, and sustained portfolio performance for both launch and inline oncology assets by engaging senior clinical, financial, and administrative decision-makers within organized oncology customers.

The ONC NAE serves as the primary access stakeholder between BMS and assigned oncology accounts, including large oncology networks, community practices, cancer centers, pathway organizations, group purchasing organizations (GPOs), and integrated delivery networks (IDNs). The role requires a deep understanding of oncology clinical landscapes, reimbursement and access dynamics, and the ability to influence decision-making across the full product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Account Leadership & Market Access (Launch and Inline)

• Execute and continuously refine integrated account business plans supporting pre-launch readiness, launch execution, and inline portfolio optimization as defined by access strategy and in alignment with brand priorities.

• Identify, anticipate, and proactively address market access barriers impacting oncology therapies across assigned accounts.

• Drive optimal product availability and compliant pull-through by aligning access strategy with payer coverage, pathways, site-of-care economics, and customer operating models, in full accordance with the aligned role and remit of the NAE team.

• Deliver approved branded and unbranded access, value, quality, and healthcare economic messages, including FDAMA 114 and Pre-Approval Information Exchange (PIE), in full compliance with policy.

Executive Engagement & Customer Partnerships

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with C-Suite, E-Suite, Medical Directors, Pharmacy Leaders, and senior decision-makers.

• Serve as a trusted strategic partner by providing insights on reimbursement, procurement, contracting, and oncology practice economics.

• Engage key access influencers, including pathway organizations, GPOs, IDNs, and State Oncology Societies, to support formulary inclusion and appropriate utilization.

• Support customer understanding of clinical management programs, distribution models, and 340B program considerations.

Matrix Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Routinely collaborate with cross-functional matrix teams across Sales, Medical, HEOR, Reimbursement, Access Strategy and Brand Marketing.

• Translate enterprise and brand strategy into account-specific execution plans.

• Facilitate senior leadership and executive-to-executive engagements.

• Represent BMS at regional and national oncology meetings and customer forums.

Compliance & Operational Excellence

• Ensure all activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.

• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of account activities and insights.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree required

Experience

• 7+ years of oncology and/or hematology sales leadership, market access, or marketing experience

• 3+ years of regional or national account management experience

• Demonstrated experience supporting oncology product launches and inline portfolio management

• Expertise in oncology, hematology, biologics, specialty, and physician-administered therapies

Skills & Capabilities

• Strong knowledge of oncology reimbursement, payer policy, pathway decision-making, and distribution models

• Executive presence with strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills

• Ability to lead through influence in a highly matrixed organization

• Customer-centric mindset with the ability to translate complexity into actionable strategy

Compensation Overview:

Field - United States - US: $199,040 - $241,185

The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

Paid Time Off

  • US Exempt Employees: flexible time off (unlimited, with manager approval, 11 paid national holidays (not applicable to employees in Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico or Rayzebio employees)
  • Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico and Rayzebio Exempt, Non-Exempt, Hourly Employees: 160 hours annual paid vacation for new hires with manager approval, 11 national holidays, and 3 optional holidays

Based on eligibility*, additional time off for employees may include unlimited paid sick time, up to 2 paid volunteer days per year, summer hours flexibility, leaves of absence for medical, personal, parental, caregiver, bereavement, and military needs and an annual Global Shutdown between Christmas and New Years Day.

All global employees full and part-time who are actively employed at and paid directly by BMS at the end of the calendar year are eligible to take advantage of the Global Shutdown.

_*Eligibility Disclosure: T_he summer hours program is for United States (U.S.) office-based employees due to the unique nature of their work. Summer hours are generally not available for field sales and manufacturing operations and may also be limited for the capability centers. Employees in remote-by-design or lab-based roles may be eligible for summer hours, depending on the nature of their work, and should discuss eligibility with their manager. Employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement should consult that document to determine if they are eligible. Contractors, leased workers and other service providers are not eligible to participate in the program.
