Summary: The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for developing and executing strategic account plans that maximize revenue, gross profit, customer retention, and long-term partnerships with assigned manufacturing customers. The KAM serves as the primary business advisor to customers by identifying opportunities to reduce total cost, improve supply chain performance, optimize inventory, and expand Martin’s product and service offerings. Key Responsibilities: Manage and grow assigned key customer accounts. Drive sales growth, profitability, and margin improvement. Manage customer inventory programs and optimize stocking levels. Partner with internal teams to resolve supply chain issues and meet customer KPIs. Monitor pricing, contracts, cost recovery, payment terms, and account profitability. Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including VMI, Kanban, inventory reduction, and cost savings. Conduct customer visits, Quarterly Business Reviews, and executive business updates. Communicate market trends, pricing changes, and new program launches. Requirements: College degree preferred in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field. 3+ years of industrial sales or account management experience. Manufacturing or industrial distribution experience preferred. Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to build customer relationships and work effectively across teams.
