Are you energized by solving problems, building relationships, and helping customers keep critical operations running smoothly?    As a Field Sales Representative, you’ll be the face of our business—trusted advisor, problem solver, and solutions expert. Your mission is to strengthen relationships with existing customers while uncovering new opportunities for growth.  

Essential Functions

  • Build and expand partnerships with key accounts in your territory
  • Identify new prospects through current clients, referrals, and networking
  • Keep customers informed on the latest products, applications, and solutions
  • Support customers with product selection and provide training when needed
  • Plan and execute a weekly sales schedule (aim for 5 quality visits per day)
  • Log customer interactions and sales activities in ACS (minimum of 3 times per week)
  • Collaborate daily with Inside Sales, your Regional Sales Manager, and teammates on strategy and problem-solving
  • Continuously sharpen your technical knowledge and sales skills
  • Represent Ryan Herco with professionalism and integrity

Experience, Education and Skills

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred
  • 2+ years of industrial field or outside sales experience
  • Possess demonstrated sales acumen
  • Industrial sales background in fluid control, filtration, or fluid handling systems is highly preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong communication, customer engagement, and presentation skills
  • Ability to coordinate team efforts and lead training sessions
  • Solid mechanical aptitude and comfort with basic math (decimals, fractions, algebra)
  • Quick learner, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn and use CRM applications
  • Some overnight travel may be required
